As we celebrate family, LFF is honored to become a signatory on a new initiative called, A Promise to America’s Children, aimed at protecting children from the onset of radical political schemes. As you’re aware, some in political leadership ranks, including President Biden, are on record encouraging children to ignore natural biology and consider the door of medical experimentation. To our knowledge, no Louisiana political leader has publicly backed this foolish assault on children, as some in other states have. Despite widespread public opinion in opposition to experimentation of children, we expect federal lawmakers to push the envelope anyway. Recent studies show that the majority of Americans are supportive of protecting girls' sports and preserving privacy in showers, locker rooms and bathrooms, oppose gender transition for kids, and support conscience protections for doctors. We know that we can make great strides to protect children if we speak in a unified voice – the goal of the Promise. The Promise to America’s Children is a national movement of parents, lawmakers, and policy organizations like LFF, who oppose legislation that harms children, like the Equality Act, and will work to create and support laws that will protect children’s health, safety, and families – especially their relationships with their parents, who have the primary responsibility to love, protect, and educate them. If you’re a parent, please check out the website, read the promise, and, if you agree, sign it. If you’re a policymaker, you can also sign the promise, or request model legislation to introduce in your state. LFF will remain committed, with your assistance, to setting up safeguards for children in our state, to protect them from ideologies that aren’t respectful of their minds, bodies, and souls. A couple other housekeeping items as we move into the weekend: Legislative session is less than 12 weeks away. If you haven’t already, now would be a good time to sign up for LFF’s 60 Second Brigade. Our Brigade alerts will assist you in reaching elected officials – especially your state senator and state representative – to affect change and impact their decisions during important deliberations this session. Click here to sign up for the 60 Second Brigade – it’s free! We’re watching closely as Big Tech continues its assault on conservatives. LifeSiteNews was de-platformed from YouTube on Thursday without any warning for “violating policies.” Project Veritas was permanently banned from Twitter as well. LFF is hosting a petition to urge Twitter and other Big Tech players to STOP CENSORSHIP. Please click here to SIGN and then SHARE this petition with your friends and family. I encourage you to pay close attention to the world and the events that are shaping our future. Your voice matters in these conversations – especially at the state and local levels. You can make a difference by watching and engaging in culture and policymaking. If you have questions about how you can engage during the upcoming legislative session, want to bring an LFF speaker to your church, or want to make an investment in our culture shaping work, please respond to this email and I or one of our committed staff members will reach out to you and get you plugged in. Our future depends on it! In His Service, |
