Dear Friend,

Do you know if your legislators supported family values this session?

LFF’s 2020 Legislative Scorecard has just been released, and we wanted you to be among the first to see it. This year, we are proud to share that 6 state senators and 22 state representatives received a perfect 100% score!

Among the bills scored this year were second amendment protections, protection for houses of worship, protecting non-profit donor privacy, reporting pregnancies of girls under the age of 13, criminal justice reform, and more!

Click here to see how your legislators voted on your behalf this year in Baton Rouge.

IMPORTANT: LFF has a long track record of successfully educating Louisiana voters by sharing legislative scorecards and our forthcoming non-partisan voter guides, to assist them in identifying who are the most pro-family candidates on their ballots. We want to reach hundreds of thousands of voters this year, but we need your help.

If you want to see Louisiana retain pro-family legislators, please click here to make a contribution. Your gift of $10 will help us reach 20 people; your gift of $100 will help us reach 200. Every dollar makes a huge difference.

Here are a few of the stories we think deserve some attention as you head into the weekend:

Another stimulus package may be near as White House negotiators and congressional leaders continue meetings Friday to discuss specifics. Among topics of contention are another round of direct payments, jobless aid, and possibly more industry bailouts.

Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin says he’s planning for the worst as the state prepares logistics for the November 3rd general election. The state wants to be prepared in the event Louisiana’s COVID reopening remains stalled in Phase II.

Vice President Mike Pence said this week what we’re all thinking: Bush-appointed U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has been a massive disappointment to conservatives. This upcoming election will have massive ramifications for the Court and pending cases on life and religious freedom.

As a reminder, many Louisianans will vote in municipal elections on August 15th, before the general election on November 3rd. LFF encourages voters to show up for municipal elections and make your voice heard at the local level.

We’ll keep you updated as these election cycles near. As always, we’re thankful to fight alongside you for the betterment of our great state.

In His Service,

Gene Mills
