Dear Friends,

The Louisiana mask “mandate” is nearing its prescribed October 31st end, leaving many to wonder whether Governor Edwards will extend his over-utilized emergency powers, reauthorizing the “mandate,” or simply release and restore public freedoms.

The science tells us that masking has limited effectiveness in preventing the transmission of the coronavirus. It would be extreme to continue mandates - including Biden's federal “vaccine” mandate - which has never been formally authorized - nor is Governor Edwards empowered to do so. It's time for the mandate madness to end and personal autonomy to be restored.

Hopefully, J.B.E. is too busy restoring Louisiana’s Ida impacted coastal region to revisit  “mandates!”

In a related matter it appears Dr. Fauci and the NIH were “mistaken” on the source of all this manmade COVID madness! The NIH - whose director recently resigned - admitted that taxpayers did fund gain-of-function research, as Senator Rand Paul long asserted while Dr. Fauci denied.

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was recently a guest on The View and she took time to eloquently state why Critical Race Theory is so dangerous:

And let me be very clear; I grew up in segregated, Birmingham, Alabama. I couldn’t go to a movie theater, or to a restaurant with my parents. I went to segregated schools till we moved to Denver. My parents never thought I was going to grow up in a world without prejudice, but they also told me, ‘That’s somebody else’s problem, not yours. You’re going to overcome it, and you are going to be anything you want to be.’ And that’s the message that I think we ought to be sending to kids.

Condi also noted that shaming white people because of the color of their skin and convincing black people that they are “disempowered” by their race is not productive.

Condi, you are a breath of fresh air!

Louisiana Senator John Kennedy is not pleased with the Biden administration’s proposal to require financial institutions to track and report personal transactions to the IRS.

Democrats just gave up some ground and are willing to raise the proposed threshold from $600 to $10,000. Still, most are wary of the IRS SPYGATE plan.

Here’s what Senator Kennedy had to say:

[Sec. Yellen] says we need to do it to catch rich tax cheats. She knows better than that. Why throw the net so wide? This proposal, like a lot of proposals, in my Democratic friends' bill is not about public policy, and it's not about taxes. It's about control. There are too many people in charge right now in Washington, D.C., who just don't trust Americans to know what's best for themselves. They just don't trust Americans to make decisions for themselves. Their attitude seems to be: Do what you're told. Just do what you're told, and if you do that, we might let you eat meat occasionally. [Bold emphasis added.]

Well said, Sen. Kennedy!

Friendswe have to pray, we must act and we should stay engaged. Courage becomes contagious when we defend life, preserve liberty, and pursue happiness in Louisiana.
