Dear Friends,

Tomorrow, Saturday November 13th, is Election Day in Louisiana. LFF created this tool to assist you in making an important decision heading into the voting booth. From four constitutional amendments to House and Senate elections, there is so much to be aware of.

Please help us change Louisiana one vote at a time. As we witnessed what happened in Virginia recently, elections have consequences and an informed electorate can make a huge difference in the political landscape of a state.

President Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates are unduly intrusive and likely unconstitutional. But there are details included in his mandate that are not known to many.

For one, the mandate applies to all employees of all ages – even minors! Any employee (minor or not) who does not get “fully vaccinated” (and who knows whether that will eventually include a requirement to receive booster shots in the future) will face masking and weekly testing, but only OSHA-approved tests.

Companies who stand up for our constitutional rights face big penalties:
“For willful noncompliance, companies face a maximum penalty of $136,532.”

And if someone misrepresents their vaccination status, they could face individual fines up to $10,000 and six months in jail.

Good news? Twenty-seven states have moved to stop this order and other unprecedented measures limiting personal liberty and medical autonomy, including Louisiana AG Jeff Landry's lawsuit. So too have numerous businesses including Brandon Trosclair, LFF Advisory Board member, prompting the US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals to issue a temporary injunction against the enforcement of Biden's Order.

My prediction: By next weekend, the 5th Circuit will rule Biden's order unconstitutional and enforce a permanent injunction against the order, paving the way for a direct appeal before the US Supreme Court.

Prayer Point: Pray for Louisiana (Superwoman) Solicitor General Liz Murrell who will represent the state of Louisiana in the LA Attorney General’s lawsuit. Louisiana Grocer, Brandon Trosclair, is being represented by the Pelican Institute and Liberty Justice Center.

Louisiana Congressman Steve Scalise and other Republicans are blasting President Biden’s effort to shut down a second oil pipeline in the United States.

In January, President Biden cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline which would have transported 830,000 barrels of oil a day and provided over 26,000 jobs.

“It is clear that President Biden never learned his lesson following his disastrous decision to kill the Keystone XL pipeline, which cost thousands of energy jobs and eliminated a reliable source of oil,” Rep. Scalise said. “Now after caving to far-left special interests in Glasgow, he wants to kill the Line 5 pipeline in Michigan, even after he green-lit the Nord Stream 2 pipeline for Russia.”

Under President Trump, the United States achieved energy independence – producing more energy than we consumed. With these pipeline cancellations, we will once again be dependent on foreign countries for oil.

Friendswe are fighting a cultural war that goes way beyond politics. Silicon Valley executives want to limit free speech; Hollywood tries to redefine “morality” to pull us further from truth. Peggy Noonan captures some of that in this article.

Remember the chief end of man is to love God and enjoy Him forever!

Let’s all pray that our elections Saturday, legal proceedings next week, and each of our lives glorify God and reflect His Son’s character.

In His Service,

Gene Mills
