Dear Friends,

“I’m not an anti-vaxxer,” says Brandon Trosclair, Louisiana grocery store owner and LFF Advisory Board member.

“I’m not anti-vaccine. I am anti-mandate. It is not my position to get involved with my employees’ personal medical decisions, and I don’t feel that it’s the federal government’s position to be involved in our employees’ personal medical decisions as well. This is just an extreme burden on the American people and on American small-business owners as well."

His lawsuit against the Biden administration's mandate for businesses with more than 100 employees is one of 34 that have been consolidated and are heading to the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans recently blocked the mandate twice, and it is likely the case will end up with the US Supreme Court as early as December.

A new study from researchers at Harvard found that homeschooled children have more positive outcomes compared to public school students.

According to the study, "homeschooled children were about one-third more likely to engage in volunteerism and have higher levels of forgiveness in early adulthood than those children who attended public schools."

In addition:

"Homeschooled children were also more likely to attend religious services in adulthood than children educated in public schools, which the researchers noted is correlated with “lower risks of alcohol and drug abuse, depression and suicide.”

Many parents are considering the switch from public school to homeschooling, and with good reason!

Saule Omarova, President Biden's nominee for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, was grilled by Louisiana Senator John Kennedy in a Senate Banking hearing this week.

Omarova was born and raised in the Soviet Union and was a member of several communist organizations. She said that everyone growing up was required to join those groups, and that you don't "resign" from them, but rather age out.

“I don’t mean any disrespect, but I don’t know whether to call you professor or comrade," said Senator John Kennedy.

P.S. The December 11 elections are approaching quickly. A highly important issue on the ballot is the vote on the casino in St. Tammy Parish. Gambling addictions are very real and a casino will impact families and the community! Early voting is Nov. 27 through Dec. 4 (excluding Sunday, Nov. 28) from 8:30 am-6 pm.
