Dear Friend,

Earlier this week, when Texas’ Attorney General filed a lawsuit asking the U.S. Supreme Court to review election results in four states, insiders assumed another four states would join the Texas suit.

As of last night, 22 states have joined the fight either as parties to the suit or through amicus curiae briefs, supporting Texas’ legal thesis that counterfeit election results should not be used, validated, or relied upon to select electors to the Electoral College (which meets on Monday to formally select the next President of the United States.) Those states’ respective legislatures, Texas rightly argues, should select the electors.

Sources have also learned that, should this appeal be accepted by the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, of Texas, has agreed to argue the case.

I’m proud to report that Louisiana’s Attorney General, Jeff Landry, was the very first attorney general in the United States to join Texas’ bid for election integrity. AG Landry has been a strong ally for LFF values for many years – we are grateful for his leadership as we navigate one of the most challenging seasons in history.

In addition to the brief filed by a number of states, a large contingency of Congressional members have filed their own brief. The leader of this Congressional brief is none other than Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson; Rep. Steve Scalise, and Rep. Clay Higgins also signed on.

Ladies and gentlemen, regardless of what the U.S. Supreme Court decides, this case is likely to bring closure to the 2020 election cycle. Either Trump will return to the White House, triumphant over rampant fraud, or we’ll be forced into a defensive posture for four years of a Biden/Harris Administration whose supporters aim to punish conservatives.

This is the time to pray, to seek God’s favor, and encourage the warriors in the arena – offer words of encouragement and prayer here to Congressman Johnson and AG Landry…whichever way the case may go. We’re likely to see news on this case throughout the weekend, and LFF will keep you updated on the progress.

Here are a few other stories we think you’ll want to be aware of as you head into your weekend:

The U.S. Department of Labor has adopted a rule that protects Christians and Christian business owners from being forced to hire employees who do not share their beliefs and values. This is a great advancement of a needed reform.

President Trump announced on Thursday that Morocco is the fourth majority-Arab nation to normalize relations with Israel, marking yet another stunning foreign policy victory that the media has completely ignored. Peace in the region is a result of Trump’s intentional foreign policy in Middle East.

A new poll shows that American mental health saw a significant decline from 2019 to 2020 – except among churchgoers! Your faith makes a huge difference in your life – yet another reason churches all around the country should be allowed to open their doors.

LFF is honored to stand with you during one of America’s most difficult challenges. We will continue to stand for truth, justice, liberty and rule of law – no matter the result of any court ‘opinion.’ We will also employ our authority as salt and light in a broken and hurting world.

Pray with me for healing and justice in America, in Jesus’ name!

In His Service,

Gene Mills
