Before we bring you this week's top stories, we want to take a moment to offer our thoughts and prayers on the passing of John Arthur "JAG" Graves, a Louisiana icon, selfless servant, and father of Louisiana Congressman Garrett Graves.

We send our most heartfelt condolences to his entire family as they grieve this loss. Louisiana is a better place because of Graves' legacy.

Tomorrow in Washington, D.C., President-elect Joe Biden is scheduled to be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States. While one half of America struggles with an outcome they did not anticipate, we embrace the challenge and enter this season in prayer for our new leaders as scripture directs – even those who have misrepresented our positions in the past and some who seek to "reprogram" or "cancel" our voice going forward.

Biden will inherit a government with thin majorities and has pledged to do things we oppose in the first 100 days. LFF and our state-level allies will have no choice but to provide a respectful, researched, relevant, and legal resistance. But we’re committed for the long-haul, and we hope to have you standing with us

In his final days as President of the United States, President Trump designated this upcoming Friday, January 22nd, as the National Sanctity of Human Life Day. It will be the first national day of observance under the new Biden/Harris Administration, and it also happens to fall on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. It’s a parting shot from the most pro-life administration in history, and it’s a reminder to the incoming organization that we will win in the end because truth – and science – are on our side.

We continue to pray for an Abortion Free America.

LFF would like to honor Drew Brees and his precious family for their sacrificial service to the city of New Orleans and to the State of Louisiana. Brees' presence was a breath of fresh air and a shot of real courage to a beleaguered city and state after Hurricane Katrina. He has remained an exemplary dad and husband where so many have stumbled, and has been a champion to a struggling Saints franchise. Drew, you are the GOAT!

Sunday night is not your legacy -- your faith, your family and your excellent character are your legacy. As you ponder retirement, know that Louisiana is grateful!

The 2021 March for Life will happen largely online this year – in part out of concern for public health, and in part out of respect for law enforcement who are keeping watch over public safety during one of our nation’s most volatile times. We will share more information with you as it becomes available, and we encourage you to join virtually and show the Biden/Harris Administration that their pro-abortion agenda will ultimately fail because Americans CHOOSE LIFE.

The entire team at LFF is grateful for your prayers and support as we transition from one political struggle (the election season) to the next (the consequences of it). LFF is honored to play a role in preserving your freedom, and we’re humbled by the thousands of principled patriots who understand that victory doesn’t happen without preparation and protection.

Your prayers provide the protection we need and your generous financial gifts provide the preparation – staff, materials, and vision – needed to win.
