President Trump hasn’t always been known for soft words, compassion, or faith-centered lifestyle. But his spiritual baptism has literally arrived. Surrounded by Godly men and women who believe in the power of prayer and redemption, President Trump is emerging into a leader who leans into God and is asking America to do so as well!
“While we may be apart from one another . . . we can use this time to turn in prayer in our own personal relationship with God. I would ask that all Americans pray for the heroic doctors and nurses, for the truck drivers and grocery store workers, and for everyone fighting this battle.
“…[M]ost of all, I’d like to ask for your prayers, for the families who have lost loved ones. Ask God to comfort them in their hour of grief. It’s a great hour of grief for our nation, for the world…
“With the faith of our families and the spirit of our people and the grace of our God, we will endure, we will overcome, we will prevail. We have learned so much. We will be stronger than ever, and I just want to thank everybody.”
It has been 20 days since the State of Louisiana issued an order to halt ALL elective medical procedures in order to preserve masks and gloves for frontline medical workers. Nearly every medical and dental office has complied with this order – except for Louisiana’s abortion clinics.
In fact, throughout those 20 days, Louisiana’s three abortion clinics have defied the Governor’s order for non-essential medical services to cease -- 15,000 COVID-19 cases and more than 500 deaths later. Delta Women's Clinic and its abortionist, Dr. St. Martin, continue to open their doors to take lives, while others in healthcare are saving them.
Governor Edwards have invited you to join him, members of Congress and the Louisiana Legislature, and other leaders, in fasting and prayer during lunch every Tuesday. Together, we’re asking God to heal our land.
China has earned the scorn of many, and rightfully so, for its development and apparent transmission of COVID-19. It has, for decades, enforced a one-child policy that directly forced millions of abortions, relegated its people to poverty, persecuted Christians and other religious minorities, and stood in defiance of human rights.
The Paycheck Protection Program prioritizes millions of Americans employed by small businesses by authorizing up to $349 billion toward job retention and certain other expenses. Small businesses and eligible nonprofit organizations, Veterans organizations, and Tribal businesses described in the Small Business Act, as well as individuals who are self-employed or are independent contractors, are eligible if they also meet program size standards.
SBA Clarifies Eligibility of Faith-Based Organizations to Participate in Paycheck Protection (HERE)
SBA Administrator Jovita Carranza announced that SBA issued guidance clarifying that all faith-based organizations impacted by Coronavirus (COVID-19) are eligible to participate in the Paycheck Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program, without restrictions based on their religious identity or activities, to the extent they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the CARES Act that was passed by Congress, signed into law by President Trump, and implemented by Paycheck Protection Interim Final Rule.
LFF’s usual spring mission field looks different this year. Rather than fighting in the halls of the Capitol, we have instead been called to be a voice of hope, strength, and encouragement during these challenging times in the Pelican State.
Our team is working hard to check in with our supporters and lawmakers. We are connecting pastors with federal officials to share vital information about federal assistance. We have launched, alongside our prayer partners, Unite 7:14, a global prayer movement that has unified tens of thousands of believers in pursuit of God’s mercy. This is a time for the church, and for groups like LFF, to shine.
