The historical account of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and their survival of the fiery furnace is among the most well-known Bible stories – even among non-Christians. Refusing to bow down before idols, the three men were ordered by King Nebuchadnezzar – to be cast into fire, as punishment for their insubordination.
The 3 Hebrew boys never faltered. Because of their faith, God spared them from the consequences, and King Nebuchadnezzar was changed forever.
Fast forward to today. As millions are shamed into pledging allegiance to a Marxist organization, Black Lives Matter, that seeks to undermine the institutions and faiths that have made America great, one man remained standing, refusing to bow before a media-minted idol.
San Francisco Giants Pitcher Sam Coonrod had a simple explanation when asked why he didn’t bow down and kneel before BLM: “I’m just a Christian. I believe I can’t kneel before anything but God, Jesus Christ.”
Applications for the Main Street Recovery Program, a federally-funded COVID relief grant program authorized by Louisiana’s legislature, will be available to COVID-affected businesses beginning today. The grants, authorized for up to $15,000, are expected to be claimed quickly; of the 400,000 Louisiana businesses estimated to be eligible, only 20,000 would receive grants, if the maximum amount were distributed to each one.
Presidential candidate Joe Biden announced over the weekend that his agenda includes full, taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics, pushing further than any president has ever gone. This is a stark contrast to the Trump Administration’s policies – which have diminished or eliminated federal funding for more than 900 abortion clinics.
Liberal media group CBS conducted an experiment that many believe was designed to diminish fears over mail-in balloting. Instead, they found that 21% of ballots are likely not to arrive on time, risking huge voter disenfranchisement in a year where elections are expected to be won by narrow margins.
“Out of the initial batch mailed a week earlier, 97 out of 100 votes had arrived. Three simulated persons, or 3% of voters, were effectively disenfranchised by mail by giving their ballots a week to arrive. In a close election, 3% could be pivotal.
“Four days after mailing the second batch of mock ballots, 21% of the votes hadn't arrived.”
A pandemic cannot be an excuse to allow a lack of integrity to invade our elections.
“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”
