Dear Friends,

Last night, after a series of delay tactics by Planned Parenthood proponents in the U.S. Senate, Louisiana-born Judge Amy Coney Barrett became Justice Amy Coney Barrett, restoring the U.S. Supreme Court to full membership and filling a seat formerly held by a liberal jurist with a conservative. You can see my statement to the press here.

There’s no way to overstate it: this is a big deal for life, religious liberty, free speech, parental rights, and economic freedom. Amy Coney Barrett is to the Right, what RBG was to the Left -- only one represents and incoming era and the other a bygone era.

The vote was 52-48 with both of Louisiana’s U.S. Senators, Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy, voting YES.

This confirmation is historic for a variety of reasons, perhaps most importantly that the Court has taken a giant leap towards the intent of the Founding Fathers. For the first time in a long time, a majority of justices on the U.S. Supreme Court believe in an originalist interpretation of the Constitution – that is, interpreting it how it was written.

The confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett marks the third U.S. Supreme Court justice appointed by President Donald Trump and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

We expect this confirmation may spark protest and unrest in places where municipal leaders have allowed arson, vandalism, theft, and riots to go unpunished. The radical left knows what the confirmation of ACB means to their deconstructive priorities – and they may not recover from it. That is, unless they are to take control of the White House and/or the U.S. Senate and begin the process of “packing the Court,” which they have warned that they plan to do.

Other casualties of yesterday’s confirmation include Planned Parenthood and “Abortion Inc.,” who likely know that the days of abortion protections at the federal level are sunsetting. A number of states, including Louisiana, have already filed legislation or initiatives to move towards becoming fully pro-life if and when Roe v. Wade and/or Planned Parenthood v. Casey are overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court.

We are praying that abortion becomes unthinkable and that Louisiana becomes the first abortion-free state in the nation!

We have an enormous amount of work to do here in Louisiana as we prepare for a post-Roe v. Wade world. Would you make an early investment in developing LFF’s 2021 agenda?
