Dear Friends

LFF’s 2022 Legislative Briefing is quickly approaching! It’s only three weeks away, and you don’t want to miss it!

We will hear from policy makers and Christian leaders from across the state who will discuss important matters of public policy, faith issues and upcoming elections.

This year, our annual Legislative Briefing will take place on Tuesday, March 15, at First Baptist Church in Baton Rouge from 9:30am - 12:30pm.

During this briefing, we will update you on the issues pending this legislative session. We are also excited to hear from a dynamic voice on all matters "cultural," Dr. Voddie Baucham, author, Seminary President and sought-after speaker. This time will be especially helpful for pastors and Christian leaders who want to influence their sphere of influence.

The public is welcome! There is no fee, but RSVPs are required. Click here to reserve your spot!

We hope to see you there!

The United States is bearing the consequences of fatherlessness. From a report from The Daily Signal:

"In fact, in the 13 years from 2008 through 2020, there were 51,138,204 babies born in this country, according to the CDC, and 20,642,649 of those babies (or 40.36%) were born to unmarried mothers.

This country is not headed in the right direction. A generation will soon be coming of age in which a large percentage of the population will have been denied a traditional family life.

What happens when families fall apart or fail to form in the first place? Government, as this column has noted before, gets bigger and takes more control over people’s lives."

Children need both mothers and fathers. If fathers are not present and positively involved in their children's lives, our entire society - especially those children - suffers.

Progressive gender ideology has infiltrated nearly every aspect of our lives, including the law.

Divorced father Ted Hudacko recently lost custody of his son simply because his views on transgenderism did not fully align with progressive ideology.

Hudacko did not want his gender dysphoric minor son to undergo gender “reassignment” surgery, but a California family court custody judge had a much different opinion. The judge asked Hudacko a series of irrelevant questions to test his ideology against transgender dogma.

The father avoided these questions and claimed that he simply didn’t want his son to undergo a risky surgery that could cause permanent infertility. As a result, he was stripped of his parental rights.

Hudacko was given no input in his child’s medical decision, which was already scheduled, and even lost the right to see or speak to his child.

This is why our work to honor God's design and protect parental rights in Louisiana is paramount. Our own judicial system is under attack by dangerous gender ideology, and we must put an end to it.

Friendswe are living during a pivotal time in our country, and we cannot afford to stand by and watch as progressive ideology fundamentally changes our exceptional nation. The first step in making a difference is to remain informed and engaged, which you can do by attending our Legislative Briefing. Don’t forget to RSVP!

As always, please pray for a return to Christian values in our country.

God Bless!

US History...presented without comment on the Ukrainian issue:

"To have shrunk, under such circumstances, from manly resistence, would have been a degradation blasting our best and proudest hopes; it would have struck us from the high ranks where the virtuous struggles of our fathers had placed us, and have betrayed the magnificent legacy which we hold in trust for future generations. It would have acknowledged that on the element which forms three-fourths of the globe we inhabit, where all independent nations have equal and common rights, the American people were not an independent people, but colonists and vassals."

- President James Madison, November 1812
