Dear Friends

Over the weekend, Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson called attention to a deeply disturbing ad run by Disney and FX during the LSU season opener:

The shocking ending to the LSU opener was not the most disturbing part of the game last night. For me, that came during a commercial break in the second quarter when the television audience was presented with the trailer for a new FX cartoon “sitcom” entitled, “LITTLE DEMON.”

I couldn’t get to the remote fast enough to shield my 11-year-old from the preview, and I wonder how many other children were exposed to it—and how many millions more will tune in to the new series, owned and marketed by DISNEY.

The trailer included dark images of Hell, demons, and satanic imagery, and an explanation that the main character is… the Antichrist(!).

Disney provides this surreal description: “Thirteen years after being impregnated by Satan, a reluctant mother, Laura, and her Antichrist daughter, Chrissy, attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware, but are constantly thwarted by monstrous forces, including Satan, who yearns for custody of his daughter’s soul.”

After explaining more about the dark background of the TV series, Congressman Mike Johnson concluded:

I could write volumes this morning, and unpack pages of Bible verses here, but instead I’m just going to state the obvious: Please be careful. Our job as parents is to guard the hearts and minds of our kids. This culture has become alarmingly dark and desensitized and this is not a game. Disney and FX have decided to embrace and market what is clearly evil. STAY FAR FROM IT.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

Amen, Congressman Johnson. Thank you for standing for families, our children, and for being a gospel-bearer!

Here’s some great news out of Kansas: a teacher just won $95,000 after the school tried to force her to use the “preferred pronouns” of a gender-confused student. “No school district should ever force teachers to willfully deceive parents or engage in any speech that violates their deeply held religious beliefs,” the great folks at Alliance Defending Freedom said.

The school also wanted the teacher to hide the child’s supposed “transition” from parents. Teachers and other school officials sometimes groom kids to “transition” despite the biological impossibility of changing sex.

Thank you, Pamela Richards, for standing up for common-sense and the conscience rights of all Americans.

Eric P. Bruskin, assistant director of the commercial litigation branch in the Justice Department’s Civil Division, recently made a public post on LinkedIn that labeled Alliance Defending Freedom - the Christian legal advocacy group which has represented the rights of many Christians, including Pamela Richards in the story above - as a "hate group."

The Daily Signal reports that Bruskin commented on a colleague's post, which referred to meeting with a representative from Alliance Defending Freedom. Bruskin said, “Jason, this is a hate group. You’re speaking at a conference for a hate group. Are these the beliefs you hold? If so, then it’s time we end our professional association.”

In doing so, Bruskin appears to have violated a DOJ policy which states: All department employees should be aware of the following requirements governing the use of social media, and department attorneys should consider obligations imposed by applicable rules of professional conduct:

… Department employees should not make comments that can be perceived as showing prejudice based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other protected basis.

The DOJ is gaining a reputation for being anything but fair and just.

Friend,we must remain steadfast and treat all human beings as equal and created in the image of God. “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” [Galatians 3:28]
