The so-called “Respect for Marriage Act," which deconstructs the religious, cultural, and historical meaning of marriage, codifies "same-sex marriage" as the law of the land has been attached (by Democrats) to the next bill to fund the federal government. The political maneuver is designed to shore up progressive support and if unsuccessful, to blame principled senators who refuse to violate their conscience, for “shutting down the government!”

America is under attack. The extremes to which the hard-left are willing to undertake in order to maintain power are unprecedented in modern government. Even as pro-family and pro-life forces celebrate significant advances, and Abortion, Incorporated is evicted from Louisiana, we need to contact Senators Cassidy & Kennedy and ask them to reject this Democrat ploy.

Heritage’s report card measured four broad categories (School Choice, Transparency, Regulatory Freedom, and Spending) which encompass more than two dozen discrete factors.

Planned Parenthood used to make a large majority of their money from abortion services, but with the major losses they’ve taken on that front, they needed to find a new business model to keep their doors open, and they know their audience. Planned Parenthood is now offering “gender-affirming care,” described as “the umbrella term for addressing gender dysphoria, especially in children and young teens, through surgery, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones.”

We know Planned Parenthood’s nefarious history, and their record of facilitating abuse is troubling. They are the last organization that should be trusted with the mental health of the youth of this country.

P.S. Friends, it's been a challenging week. Following LSU’s blocked extra point against Florida State Sunday night, I began experiencing extreme duress. I blamed Coach Brian Kelly and that evening's brussels sprouts. But by Monday morning, the real culprit was identified and confirmed…acute appendicitis.
