Friends,

My favorite “every vote counts” story is how Justice Jeff Victory got into the 1994 runoff for the Louisiana Supreme Court by 42 votes out of nearly 117,000 cast! The outcome wasn’t even apparent on election night. Justice Victory went on to serve on the Louisiana Supreme Court for nearly 20 years. His impact in constitutional and textual interpretation of law upon this state and its jurisprudence is indisputable. Louisiana has one of the most reliably conservative Supreme Courts in America, thanks in part to this statesman and those 42 votes!

Moral of this story…Geaux Vote!

Don’t forget that there will be eight constitutional amendments on the November 8th ballot.

The amendments cover topics such as the state budget, property taxes, elections and campaigns, constitutional rights, and more. Click here for a rundown on each of the proposed amendments and what a “yes” or “no” means for every vote.

Also, be sure to share the Louisiana Voter Guide with your neighbors ahead of the election! Early voting has already begun.

Many of you will recall that Coach Kennedy won big at the U.S. Supreme Court. LFF was honored to stand with and support him by our amicus brief to SCOTUS.

According to court documents filed this week, Coach Kennedy, who was wrongfully fired for privately praying on the high school football field after games, must be reinstated to his former position no later than spring of 2023!

Coach Kennedy has had a long wait for justice, but justice is finally being served!

According to this article from the Associated Press, no state has filed more lawsuits against the Biden administration than Louisiana. Attorney General Jeff Landry and Solicitor General Liz Murrill led challenges to vaccine mandates, climate change policy, and social media collusion. We must continue to enforce constitutional guarantees against an administration determined to violate the rights guaranteed to every American.

Friends, Election Day is less than two weeks away! It’s not too late to vote early. Let’s ramp up our prayers ahead of November 8th that Louisiana and our nation may both become better for families!
