Dear Friends,

Tonight, team Mills will welcome its newest member, Taylor Cutrer Mills, to the family! Hamilton A. Mills, the favored beneficiary of God’s (and Ms. Taylor’s) good graces, gets to play the “groom” in this made-for-real-life romance story called covenant marriage! We are so thrilled and excited for this new chapter and our beautiful new daughter-in-law!

In Louisiana news:

Attorney General Jeff Landry has filed a lawsuit to block Gov. John Bel Edwards' plan to include the COVID-19 shot in Louisiana’s list of required vaccinations for schools and colleges. The House Health and Welfare Committee has already voted against the plan, but Edwards is continuing to push the rule requiring shots for tots.

The lawsuit argues that the “Louisiana Constitution grants the governor the power only to enforce the law, not to make it.”

Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of mRNA vaccines, spoke out against mandating the vaccine for students at the Louisiana House Health and Welfare Committee hearings last week. He reminded lawmakers that the vaccine is “an unlicensed, untested product.” He argued that spike proteins in the vaccine can permanently damage children’s organs, nervous system, reproductive system, and immune system. “We need at least five years of testing and research before we can really understand the risks. Harms and risks often become medically revealed years later,” he said.

President Biden’s vaccine mandate for health care workers was arrested by the Fifth Circuit. To clarify, the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate remains in effect only in 26 states. The 14 states suing in the case before the Fifth Circuit and 10 states that successfully sought an injunction for the mandate in late November are exempted until a higher court rules on merit, including Louisiana.

Yesterday, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made a reckless decision to loosen restrictions on chemical abortion pills, now allowing the abortive pill to be ordered online, without an in-person doctor's consultation, leaving women to perform their own abortions at home without medical supervision.

As the Charlotte Lozier Institute explained, the abortion industry used the pandemic as an excuse to broaden access to chemical abortion:

"As a dangerous drug, mifepristone has been subject to regulations put in place by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2000.[1] Under these regulations, called a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS), mifepristone may only be dispensed in person by certain qualified medical providers. Despite the risks associated with mifepristone, the abortion industry has repeatedly challenged the REMS, using the coronavirus pandemic to push for easier access."

Common side effects from mifepristone include bleeding and abdominal cramping, but infection and even death have occurred.

This is not healthcare - this is Big Abortion.

According to a new poll from the Pew Research Center, about three in ten adults do not affiliate themselves with any religion, or profess themselves as atheists, agnostics or “nothing in particular," and the self-identified Christian population is 63% compared to 75% a decade ago.

Just 45% of adults in the U.S. say they pray every day. This figure was 58% in 2007.

Our country is in desperate need of revival. Only the Lord can grant us true wisdom and peace, and one's spiritual health must be accounted for. If the individuals making up our nation are not spiritually well, our nation won't be well, either.

Friends, in the frightening age of government mandates and religious disaffiliation, perhaps this time would be an excellent moment to speak up, share your faith and tell someone the source of your joy.

I am so hopeful that America is one SCOTUS decision away from restoring this constitutional republic. Either way, it’s a great moment to share the hope that’s within you. For our team at LFF, our hope is to build a Louisiana where God is honored, life is respected, families flourish and liberty reigns.

Your investment in that vision makes this possible...thank you!

In His Service,

Gene Mills
